« on: March 09, 2012, 11:08:30 AM »
I know this is a site deticated to the Civil War,but thought Im would give it a try.I've been ask to assist our local museum in their preperation of a War of 1812 display, and the museum is in need of the load of either a British 10' or 13" Mortar Ball / Shell or both, also photographs with dimensions & weight's of the two listed projectiles.Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.Just PM me and I will put you in contact with the person at the museum.
Thanks

Where is the museum?  I think I have a 10 inch but not sure how to determine for sure it's British if no broad arrow.  Mine has the thick close lifting loops and came from the Boston area.
Best,
Carl

Hi Jack
This is Ronnie in Port Hudson.  I see you are looking to help a War of 1812 Museum.  I might have something of interest.  My email is cwarmory@yahoo.com.

Is this the Ronnie that Miltion and I hunted with back In the early 70's,after both you and I got back from Nam? If so Hi after four (4) decades.Sadly Milton passed away some years ago. Still remember with fondness hunting Port Hudson, and the Baton Rouge Shows.
Will pass your e-mail address on to Jim  Monday.
