Dug Richmond Carbine

Just wondering if anyone might be interested in the Richmond Carbine I personally dug? If so, PM me for the facts & pictures.

Thanks, Roger

I can't believe you still have that neat piece, Roger.  I'd post pictures here for you, but if I still have them they are on my old PC.  I still have the projectile & a half I got from you.  I think you need to go back out there and find me some more iron!

Glad to have you here.

Thanks for the replies & heads up from emike! I'll try to find the old pictures or take new ones. Until then I will let you know that this piece is the one shown in the North South Trader's Civil War magazine Vol. 30 No. 4/ 2004 on page 18. I'm asking $600.00 or maybe the best offer.

Thanks For The Interest, Roger

I tried to post some pictures for all to see. I didn't find the typical browse button.
Just letting everyone know that the Richmond Carbine found a new home.
Thanks!!

Roger:

I was at that "new home" today and you could not have found a better conservator for it.  I am glad this worked out for you and a fellow forum member will be its steward along with the fantastic displays he has.

Now go back out there and find me another cool shell!

Hope to see you soon,

Mike

Mike, I saw it at its "new home" & it is looking good.  It will be displayed well & taken care of.  Excellent artifact.

Got to see Coonbooy's completed display of the dug Richmond Carbine, it is fantastic.  Maybe he can take a pic of it & post.

RJ, I haven't gotten back and seen the final display but talking with the new owner it sounded like it would have been a fantastic display. Guess I need to get by and see the finished product.

I finally got a chance to photo and try to post the Richmond Carbine display. I added a few items I had dug at Dupont Bayou (Double Bridges) plus the missing items on the Carbine. I found one myself in the bayou in the early 1970's but the barrel was all rusted away for the most part so the additions to Rogers looked pretty good.    Coonboy

coonboy you did a great job on displaying the carbine. When I saw it last it was on your floor. Gonna have to set up a time and come visit again once it cools down some.
