Great to hear from you, Pete, but rest up.   We knew of your heart attack last week, but waited to post it publicly before Connie told Steve Sylvia (who I spoke to Friday in Charleston) to spread the word among the community to keep you in all of our prayers.  Based on that, we (Steve, Carl and I) felt ok to post this notice here, and I'm glad the word got out to all your friends.

My Mom smoked from age 12 or 13 until age 75 or so.  A scare similar to yours and a Doctor not amused that she might go back to smoking set her straight, and we had a nice 84th birthday party with her the night before the Charleston Show (& also celebrated my parents' 60th wedding anniversary).  So, if my stubborn old Mom can give up smoking after over 60+ years of doing it, we know you can Pete.

Please let any of us know if there is anything we can do to assist you during your recovery time.

God bless you and get well soon.

Hello Pee,
It is amazing that you are back on line so soon. I have been there, done that, so know how you did hurt.
I wish you will now with no further complications. Take Care,
Kind Regards,
John

Hello,

I spoke with Pete last night.  As some have heard he had to go back into the hospital.  Turns out that it was likely due to angina (chest pains due to poor blood flow) which is not uncommon after a heart attack.  He also had to go through some trial and error to get various medicines right for him which took a few days.  He's back at home now and doing pretty well other than weak when he tries to do too much.  He sounded good and strong when I talked to him.
Best,
Carl
