Title: James Bolt
Post by: Garret on February 22, 2022, 08:08:21 PM
I saw a cherry dug James Bolt (without the sabot, ribs exposed, purportedly a Stones River Battlefield pick up) on a dealer's website for $1650 last night.  Today I see it's on hold.   Is that the going price these days for a James?   I guess it's basic economics (supply and demand) with my last post about the lack of abundance of shells driving the prices up.   I reckon it's a seller's market now.   What do you all think?

Seems very high to me.  Would have to be super mint and with a great story.  And sometimes you find a buyer who just trusts that the seller knows what a fair price is.  Then they get surprised when they go to sell it.
