an early but definitive study with a lot of information

Don't have this one. I will keep my eye out.

Must have for the serious artillery collector.

Does anyone have a copy for sale?

this is an incredible book, considering the time period Mr Ripley put it together in, with no computers, cell phones or fax Machines !! It is chock full of great info, that must have taken him years to gather together. I highly suggest the section called, 'art of the artilleryman' for the reproduction of the Mordecai drawings of different implements and their uses.

Last time I looked, it is easily found on Ebay, and quite cheaply priced. There's no need to pay any dealer big bucks for it.
