I've got a question that I've been wondering about dealing with percussion caps. Is there any way to identify the maker when there is no markings on them? Also what are the differences between rifle and pistol caps? I did dig one that doesn't have large feet (i guess that's what they are called) like most of the ones I've been digging lately. Thanks.
