Can somebody ID these cartridges for me?
« on: September 08, 2011, 01:17:51 PM »
I thought Derringer and Smith & Wesson, but they look different than the ones in the Thomas Bros' book.  Nickel is for scale.

Please help me ID them and let me know if they have any value, because if they do I am going to sell them on the website.

Thanks

Mike,

The appear to be Post War cartridges possibly .22-.28. They are fairly common types. If the one on the right has a brass covering it would be Span Am era.

They look to me like a 6mm Flobert and a modern .22 short.
