Here is a good way of preserving that fresh dug look. I'm sure many of you diggers out there have popped out a relic and just saw it smiling at you from the side of a big clod of dirt. Next time that happens just snap a picture of it, and save the image for a nice framed picture.
I have this one hanging in the museum over a bullet collection display case. It's amazing how many people have asked why the bullets were painted white.
