Description:This is the bottom of a Swayer shell. Clearly shows how the lead peeled back in flight. Bottom is complete enough to make a good coin dish or ashtray!

The coolest thing is that the patent date stamp is still very clearly visible in the lead bottom.

Ronnie McCallum dug the iron portion years ago. I paid a lot of money for the lead portion from a dealer, but these are rare to recover so at the time it seemed like a good idea. At the risk of sounding bitter, my loss is the buyer's gain...
