Description:
This Hotchkiss shell is complete with the nose portion, lead band sabot and base cup. It looks good but when you handle it you will notice the sabot is a little loose and yo can get it to move just a bit. It is too tight to seem to be a put together. I think it just got loose somehow over its history. The shell other than the sabot appears to be painted with an old thick black paint so perhaps it was part of a monument or something. It is missing the fuse and has excellent threads so can easily accept one if you wanted to add it. I can provide a good fuse for an extra $35. The powder cavity is very clean with the casting nail clearly seen in the bottom. This shell is very good for the price.

Shell is inert, clean and coated.
