Description:10" spherical shell with excellent iron. This one was in my personal collection for many years and is the last of them I will be selling. It has relatively thick walls so it is likely the type that is said in the books to be for a Columbiad, but in situ recoveries suggest that in many places both thin and thicker walled 10in spherical shells were used interchangeably in mortars and big cannon.
