Description:This is a nice display piece. It is a solid shot cannon ball of the 6 pounder size that sits on a wood sabot. There are no straps present. The ball is very solid with some evidence of ground action but nothing deep. As you can see in the one picture there is some of the mold seam visible but it is not prominent. I really can't tell if the sabot is original or not. It is a nice copy if not actually real. The sabot and ball both appear to be coated with a light coat of black paint but it looks quite good.
