Description:
These poygonal cavity shells have lines of weakness cast into the interior to facilitate their bursting into 12 equal pieces. Colonel Mallett picked up this idea from the British and brought it to the Confederacy. There is a lot written on these shells and I am happy to send additional documentation along with it.

This one displays nicely as is, but if I had more time, I'd run it so the surface "orange peel" rust would come off to make it slick. Has a nice mold seam and you can feel the lines of weakness inside with your small finger.
