A former law partner of mine, now a judge, has a Gettysburg etched 12 pounder ball on his desk in his chambers - he ordered it through a magazine ad about 30 years ago, paid ~$150 for it. I started some research on the ball (including asking Mike about it) a few years ago, the judge is convinced it was a Gettysburg battlefield pickup, told me not to tell him if I found out otherwise.
