Was hunting near the boundary of Shiloh Park in Tennessee back about 1973, when I dug this artifact. Please keep in mind that not all of the battlefield was not then now is it now on the National Park. I do not break the law. So, I dug this 1816 flintlock musket which had been hit (I think) in the barrel by either a bullet or piece of shrapnel. In the photo I have placed a .69 caliber musket ball for reference to the dent in the musket barrel. This artifact was passed along to be in a museum in Tennessee.
