T&T 188A Question
« on: March 21, 2011, 04:14:37 PM »
Hello All,
I know that the T&T 188 A to F, formerly known as "Prussians", are Northern made, pressed and turned bullets. I was wondering if anyone has any information, or opinion, about the T&T 188A, the "No Ring Prussian".
Were these intentionally made without the rings or did some miss the turning process?

Hi AggieReb,

Thanks for the reply.
Poor manufacturing would seem to be the logical explanation for the "No Ring Prussians" and the variations in the grooves on the T&T 188s.

I have to suspect they were intentionally made with no rings.  If for no other reason than because the no-ring pattern shows up in all three sizes of this bullet....  .54, .58, and .69

Jim, very good point. I hadn't even thought of that aspect of the question with the other calibers.
