Okay, I just dug all the crud out from my shell nose and it is definitely a timefuze shell. There was some gray matter mixed in. Not alot, but enough to make it evident that the shell had exploded "normally" and not the result of a limber chest explosion.

Thanks Callicles, Now maybe I can get back to the hilltop in Vicksburg and find the rest of that shell.
