I'm reconstructing a canister shell and sabot. Can someone tell me how far up in the canister the sabot extended. I want to be as correct as possible. Thatks everyone.

Do you mean how tall the wood sabot for a 12pdr Napoleon canister round was or how far the rebated area at the top of the same sabot extended up for the tin to be affixed to it?
