Winter Storm
« on: December 26, 2012, 01:14:09 PM »
Hope all are hunkered down and safe as this storm moves eastward. We ended up with about 3 inches in East Texas and that's the first White Christmas I have seen in years.

Again hoping everyone in the storms path remains safe.

Got our first snow of the year on Christmas as well.  Very late for first snow as this drought persists.  Snow makes me grumpy knowing I have to shovel it on any day except on Christmas eve or day.  Storm not affecting us in Chi-town but I think points South are being hit so best to all those in its way.

I just drove from Quincy, IL (100 miles north of St. Louis on the Mississippi) to SW Chicago burbs and didn't hit any snow or bad weather at all. Quincy had a couple inches of the white stuff last week. Made it home safe and hope everyone one else did too.
It is history that teaches us to hope.

Yeah, what I got was lake effect snow.  Got it again yesterday.  Go 3 miles West and nothing.  Go figure  >:(

Getting 2 - 3 more inches (snow) tomorrow. We have already had more than we had all of last winter. What ever happened to global warming?

The weatherman missed it again. We got about 6 inches overnight.
My wife got me a Garrett AT Pro for Christmas, which was a complete shock to me. No CW relics here but maybe I can find some good silver. Last year I could have been trying it out, but it looks as if i'll have to wait until Spring. :'(
