Selma Hunter:
Gentlemen -

Here is another bit of Selma "eye candy".  Some of you know the story, others perhaps not.  The situation in Selma is escalating with a very high likelihood that the entire town will soon be "off limits" due to pending federal and state regulations/designation.

53 years after the cows got out of the barn they (city officials) decided to "do something" about nothing knowing that there wouldn't be anything to study if not for the so-called "amateurs".   Too little, too late and with nothing to show for the effort except regulatory paperwork and the extinguishing of any hope for future new discoveries.  As a matter of record, diving for relics in the river there actually began in 1959 - using something called a "Hookah rig".  Surface recoveries in the river bed and along the banks had been taking place for years before that.  In any case, methinks the value of Selma relics is about to jump once the pending insanity is signed off and Selma becomes a sealed city.

In any case, I hope that all of you will enjoy seeing this remarkable recovery.  The two pieces were found 4 years and 2 miles apart!

divedigger:
great finds and good luck with your bureaucratic intrusion.
