Someone asked me a question to which I started to rattle off the answer and then it occured to me that I wasn't sure of the factual accuracy of what I was going to say. He wanted to know if iron underplugs were used by both US and CS. I'll expand that question to ask this knowedgeable audience: "Were both iron and brass underplugs both used by both sides?". My belief is yes but I'm not positive.
