sugarloaf early colt bullet
« on: December 18, 2011, 09:52:46 AM »
Looking for a little information about a bullet listed in Thomas RBRF#3 bullet 800. Does this bullet have a convex base? From the photo shown & description I just cannot tell for sure. This appears to be the same bullet listed in the T&T handbook 1996 edition #11 "Colt Dragoon" & this bullet does have a flat base.
Thanks

The early Colt bullets did not have a rebated base.

Thanks to both for your imput. A Walker Colt fired a conical bullet weighing about 220 grains.
