Augusta, GA Arsenal Bullets
« on: April 01, 2023, 03:07:30 PM »
I recently received a stash of bullets from the Augusta, GA Arsenal dump site.  Interestingly, most match the mold patterns of the various Marshall TX Arsenal bullets (MTE's).  There were even some that were identical to the Maxey Enfields found only in OK and AR, including the "lean" when standing flat.

Can anyone elaborate on these similarities?  I've been unable to locate any references.

I wish I could.  What reference books are you using?

Howdy Mike!!

I've been unable to find anything about the Augusta and Marshall Arsenals using the same pattern Enfield bullet molds.  Seems that no one ever noticed!!

I have all the bullet references from the M&M, T&T, Stelma, RBTR, etc.  I can't find anything on the internet either.

Do you have pics of the Augusta bullets?

Only Marshall bullet mold I am aware of is in the LA State Exhibit Museum in Shreveport.
