A 3.67 inch Sawyer soft burst shell, showing the case shot and the tar matrix that I dug at Port Hudson. Fired from union battery 14

Nice.  Love how most of the candlestick fuse is there.  You need to go find the top section!

Killer piece!  That would be one of my favorite finds.  Was the fuse shown separate the same one that was in the shell?  if so, amazing the cap came out that well.

Carl, The top part and the fuse had blown 20 feet away from the shell body
