I remember having seen something on that in years past.  An amazing discovery.  They lifted it off the bottom in the same fashion the USS Cairo was lifted but with much better results.  The Cairo was cut into pieces by the cables.  I suspect the people who raised the Cairo knew about the Vasa and attempted to do the same thing but underestimated the effect the iron plating the Cairo sported would have.  The Vasa was also a time capsule much like the Arabia found in a field here in the US full of items from its time in history.  Very good article.  Thanks.
Best,
Carl
