Chuck Jones (Dec 31, 1921 - July 21, 2011) - Harrisonburg, Va

I didn't know him well but did get to meet him a number of times.  Fortunately for me, Jack Melton invited me to visit Chuck and see his collection in April of 1990.  It was an incredible sight.  The most telling thing about his collection was the quality of the shells in his collection.  While large, it wasn't the biggest one around but it was by far the best quality I had and have ever seen.  Of course, being the preeminent authority on fuses, that part of his collection was pretty incredible.  Additionally it was very well displayed as you can see in the attached images.  I remember him being quite the friendly gentleman and a man of few words.

Sorry to read this.  I met Chuck at an auction in San Francisco many years ago.  This explains why I haven't heard anything from him in some time.

I interviewed Chuck at his place on his experiences during World War II and got to see his collection.  It was quite impressive.
