Pictures can't reflect the impact of seeing 2977 flags flying in the field in front of the Kennesaw Mountain Visitor Center. Below are a couple images I took from my car driving past the field with Kennesaw Mountain in the background. The visitors center is straight behind the cannon and flags. What I show in my two images is a bit less than half the field. The field seems to go on forever as a sea of red, white and blue. It is so sad to think that each one represents a life lost in just a very short period as a result of hate. They do this each year and each year when I see it for the first time it is impactful.
