Anybody know what these are?

A couple pieces that were in the things I got from Lewis Leigh.  He didn't know what they were either.  Please note penny is for scale only.   Before Jim T the wiseacre IDs the penny I am asking about the other two items.

I'm no help, but I can add that I have found another of the smaller of the two and thought it was postwar.
