Allegheny Arsenal Explosion September 17, 1862

Thanks for sharing. I do remember having read about that in the past but always good to get a refresher.  Amazing there weren't a lot more such explosions in these factories.

Big explosion at Richmond Arsenal killed 15 or so young girls ages 11 to about 17.
