Let us not forget that 150 years ago today Generals Grant and Lee met at Appomattox to put an end to the bloodiest phase of American history. Many churches will be ringing their bells at 2:15 (Central time) to mark the signing. A moment of silence and reflection would be most appropriate.

Thanks for reminding us.  after 4 years of fighting the soldiers there on both sides must have been in a bit of shock that it was actually finally over.
