Thank you very much for contributing that info.
I had not previously heard of any James Hot-Shot bases being found there. I consider you a "reliable" source of Fort Donelson info.

I know of a James Hotshot base and James Canister base both of which were found at Fort Pillow on the Mississippi River just north of Memphis. I've not seen or heard of any James shells found there but perhaps so.
