.28 or 7mm pinfire bullets?
« on: March 27, 2014, 05:23:59 PM »
Can anyone ID either of these bullets? The first bullet (on left) measures .287 X .48.  The one on the right  measures .285 X .525. What .28 cal pistols would have been in use during the war (1863)?

If I flip the caliper to metric,  the bullets are 7.34mm and 7.48mm.  Could either also be from a 7mm pinfire Lefaucheux revolver?

Does anyone have pics/examples of .28 or 7mm pinfire bullets?
