As a Navy brat I remember seeing a few as a young Navy bratt around the Navy bases in Norfolk and Little Creek. I always equated them to the boat on McHale's Navy. Entertaining show! They had that low rumble that just sounded like power. Much like an inboard competition ski boat such as a MasterCraft or Ski Nautique. Nothing sounds like it. You know what it is when you hear it.
