Ideas for Display
« on: November 29, 2013, 10:13:45 AM »
I hope all of you had a great Thanksgiving!
I wanted to share some ideas that I had for fuze display.  Dusting those little buggers can be a real pain.  I got these at a local hobby shop.  The long one with the water cap fuzes is a case for scale model 18 wheeler trucks.  The case with the fuze plugs is actually two cases stacked upon each other.  These cases are made to display Match Box cars and lock together.  The case with the McEvoy Igniter has a wood base a glass dome.   I think they display fairly well and they stay clean.
The fun is in the chase, and remember "They made more than one"   :)

Thanks Mike.  A lot of it should look familiar to you.   ;)

Nice display and collection Dan. The Match Box car display cases are a good idea.

For my limited collection of bullets, I use a wall display case made for thimbles. It will hold about 100. I plan to add a support to the bottom to help support the weight as I am not confident in the hangers it came with.

I like both of these ideas.  I would guess a store like the Hobby Lobby would have the match box display cases.

So where do you get a case for thimbles?  :)
Best,
Carl

Carl,

Hobby Lobby or other like stores probably have thimble display cases. I bought mine on eBay. If you do a search on "100 Thimble Display Case Cabinet " and you will find different types of wood, number held and prices. The "TC100-MAH" like mine runs around $75 shipped. They are also available on Amazon.
