Walmart Surrenders
« on: January 26, 2011, 01:59:45 PM »
I have been following this subject for a while and it appears to have worked out for all ACW historians, collectors, buffs, etc. Read the article at http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/41272877/ns/business-us_business?gt1=43001.

Carl and Mike, I attempted to start this post in the NEWS section but there is not a selection for "Start New Topic" in the header.

Good news indeed.  In a county of 35,000 I'm sure they can find another less impactful place.  While I hate to speak well of Walmart I'll give credit where it's due and thank them for taking the high road.  In all likelihood they could have persisted and ended up with their store in that location.

ETEX:  I'll look into why you couldn't post in the news area.
Best,
Carl

I was able to move it to the News area.

As you can see I am logged on as a test user (Carl_Test) with no special capabilities.  I do have a button on the top right of the frame that says "New Topic" so I don't know why you wouldn't.  Please check again and see if you do and post a test entry to ensure it works.  I can delete it afterward.

That is great news.
It's not always "Survival of the fitest" sometimes the idiots get through.
