Anybody know anything about these projectiles. I'm thinking post-war.

Years ago I found a bunch like this up here in the Washington DC area that were possibly Spanish American war stuff. After we found they weren’t civil war everyone lost interest but I kept digging, hey a shell is a shell. If I came across a 16 inch Iowa class shell I’d dig it!!

Definitely 20th century shells. Looks like the guy lives on a test range impact area! One of the few times I prefer to dig incomplete shells. Hard to tell which used black powder and which used TNT and other non-water soluble explosive charges. They become very hard to disarm. Plus some had spring loaded fuses in them. Too dangerous.
