I have never seen this bullet and am curious if it is legit? Is it post war, carved, or a legit period bullet? Anybody have an example in their collection? It appears one is in Dan Poppen’s collection but the resolution on the picture is so low it just looks like a blob. Maybe Mike will buy the collection and we can get a better view, although he probably already owns 8 or 10.

No need to buy the "largest, most important & complete collection of Civil War small arms projectiles," the one in the book is in Mac Mason's display I already own.
