Bud Robertson, historian, author, and retired professor at Virginia Polytechnic Institute, died on November 2.

His biography on General Jackson is a masterpiece.  You can tell he loved his subject but not so much as to hide the faults.

Enjoyed seeing him on the old series Civil War Journal on A&E/History back in the day.
