Anyone want to share a pic of their fuse collection. Thinking about ways to display my small but growing fuses
-
I started to do this, Steve, but it would be a lot better and take less time if you just came over. I have my fuses in a wide variety of displays including thin shelves stacked in stair step fashion, wood display cases, examples in frags, just lying out, shells themselves, etc
-
Fuses are a hard one to display. Some have stampings on the bottom that need shown. Many the top. Some are fragile. A few are multi-piece. I don't have much of a collection and it is kind of spread out but when I get my room in better order I too will want to figure out a way to bring them all together in a nice labeled display.

Here are some:

Mike, looks like a great collection. My family lives in Chicago and I travel there often for work. Would love to take you up on your offer to check out your collection. Fuses have really struck my interest as of late. Perhaps one of the great tech advancements in the war and the precursor to WWI artillery fuses.
-
Now if only Mike had some fuses to compliment his artillery collection..... ;D
-
Fantastic display Mike!!! Your collection has certainly grown in leaps and bounds since I saw your collection quite a number of years ago now!
-
Yes, RJ you need to come back.
Steve, come on over when you are around -- you won't be re-FUSEd!
-
Steve on your way drop down to Florida and pick me up. LOL.
-
Maybe we should charter a bus to Mike's house and while we are there, we can help him rotate his exhibits.
-
I/m in. ;D
-
some of you guys have enough fuses and shells you could fight the war over again.
-
Speedenforcer,
I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. I certainly have enough for a small scale skirmish.
-
I'll see if I can get out a photo for you. I think I have a few. Gary

Thanks. One idea I had for those that would fit would be to use a couple of old pipe racks from an antique store
-
you could just buy shells w/o fuses and remount them, problem solved ::)
