Title: MM652 .40 Cal Tie Ring CS Revolver
Post by: ColtsPop on February 26, 2024, 10:01:26 AM
Would anyone have any thoughts on MM652, TT12?  This is the tie ring, .38", .40 caliber CS bullet likely made by the same manufacturer as its larger .44 mate, MM630.  In Thomas and Thomas 12 it is listed as made by Eley, but RBTR4 no5 is also similar, and listed as possibly a TMD type, albeit with a wider tie ring.

The reason I ask is I have not read of it being hard to source, but also do not have a record of one coming up for sale.  I wondered if the Thomas types are truly MM652, if it is in fact early war or TMD?  What is an approximate value?

They look like the same bullet to me.  In fact I have one in my for sale case for $35 (to answer your valuation question).  Not sure if its listed on the for sale part of the website or not.
