need id on bullet

Here are some photos of a .54 calibre solid base 3-ringer bullet I found at a Vicksburg campaign site. I've never seen one like it. Any clues?

Ripcon, looking at the bullet I can tell it will be difficult to get a good measurement of the diameter of the bullet but if you could get the diameter (best that you can) and length measurements it may help narrow it down.
