Need help with a bullet
« on: February 26, 2012, 07:32:37 PM »
Found this in Perryville yesterday. Length is 1.075", diameter is .535" and has a conical base. The first band or ring on the bottom is really wide compared to others I've dug. Is this just a variance of a normal .54 cal mini or something different. Thanks.

My take on the bullet is it is just a 54 caliber variant with a high base ring. It sure measures out to be a long 54 caliber with the high base. I will look through my collection and see if I have anything similar. I know I have several different varients in the 577 caliber that are not the typical Charleston High Base.
