It is with great sadness that I announce that Danny Brown passed away recently after a long fight with cancer.  Danny has been a great friend of mine for over 40 years and a good friend to many Civil War collectors.  Danny never missed setting up at the majority of the relic shows.  I think Danny enjoyed talking to the people at the relic shows more than he did selling his relics.  Danny knew everyone and everyone knew Danny.  Danny showed me true courage when his illness was so bad he couldn't unload his relics at the shows or walk without assistance but he never let that stop him from going and there was always someone willing and happy to assist him.  Port Hudson and the relic community have lost a true great friend.
