So - since ebay has blocked all user IDs, who was the lucky dog that got the rare two piece experimental that was in the M&M book.

looks like a bullet?  I won't be here much, not really a bullet guy and only have a small collection I had bought cheap years ago, but always wanted a shaler. anyone have an opinion on the 3 for sale on ebay right now, which is best and fair price?
I really am pretty lost with lead.

I see three on ebay.  One is beat up.  The other two are nice priced as I have seen them priced above $125 each.

Neat bullet. I saw two at the Baltimore show last year but they looked kind of new. I haven't seen any patent information on them. Does anyone know the history behind these?

Thanks kindly,

Also picked up a complete Calisher Terry cartridge and a Cape Rifle bullet.  Working on bringing together information on Hanoverians.  Anybody out there know where I can get a copy of Tom Stelma's book(s)?

He'll see this post shortly or you can eMail him through the forum member list.  He bravely has the screen name of Tom Stelma.

There was discussion earlier re the pictured bullet Nick Peirut had listed as an Italian Carbine.  I have a picture of the bullet with cartridge & it is for a Model 1855 Austrian Carbine.  I believe it was the rprototype for the New Austrian produced by the Raleigh D, D, & B Institute.  Will send pci fo crtridge & bulelt soonest find it.

Mike,

You know me better than that.  I contacted Gene and he had an extra and I bought it from him.  I was curious who else was fighting for the bullet as I had not ever seen others of them but I guess they aren't all talking on here.

Anyway, glad to fill another hole in the collection - now if Mike would part with one of those belted sharps I would be in a much better mood.

Good for you guys.  Do you know what that bullet was for or when it was made?
