Good only in that so many folks know the reference numbers.  The identifications of the specimens were fine for 1975, but of little help now.

I would humbly differ with you on that.  While it certainly has errors most of them are accurate.  It was a great book for many years and the bullet reference for a long time.  For many it was their first relic book due to the bullets, fuses and shells.  So while it might not any longer be THE book for bullet identification I think it a bit harsh to label it "of little help now".  It is just that there are now more accurate and more complete choices for reference.
