I know this is a site for early projectiles, both lead and iron, but a fella I know said he has some very rare early-ish  cartridges for sale. I know nothing about cartridges, but if they are rare, and up your collecting alley; pm me and I'll give you his info.

Dave, I'm just trying to be helpful here, with time-dating info.

According to Wikipedia:
"Having no children of his own, he [Harris Holland] took on his nephew Henry Holland as an apprentice in 1861. In 1867 Henry became a partner and in 1876 the name changed to Holland & Holland."

So, no Holland-&-Holland "brand" cartridges can be from earlier than 1876.

Also, other info in the Wikipedia entry says the Holland-&-Holland .375 cartridge first appeared in 1912.  That's kinda late to be of interest at this forum.

Regards,
Pete
