Well, the weight doesn't correspond to a 20in shot, but that is one of two spots where the 20in balls were used:

If it is a 20" ball, thank goodness it didn't get blown up. 20in rounds are the largest made for the Civil War:

...and exceptionally rare. I think 2 have been recovered from a farm field and the other shot ones are 3+ miles out from the NYC battery in the drink.

Maybe they used a bubba scale? Bubba can lift his own weight and .............. cool find, hope they have someone who can preserve it properly
