Bill Ewing coined that name, and a bunch of others for bullets he couldn't identify in his NSTCW article on bullets a decade or so back

Are you talking about the bullet on Nick's site? If you look in Tom Stelma's book you will see several of the bullets emike is talking about. Nick also has the Suhl Ross and Perry Carbine listed under Bill's bullets.

I got the Gregg but not sure what it is other than what Stelma shows.  It doesn't match up to any other that I know of.

Well, I'll just mutter under my breath about the whole "making up names" for bullets trend.  Then say that having no idea what you all were talking about, I went to Nick's site to see for myself.  I can now say that I have never seen one of these.  I guess it could be CW, but my gut says post-war sub caliber rimfire bullet.  I will have to search through my rimfire and Spencer books tomorrow and will let you know what I find.   :)
