A couple bad boys in Chicago
« on: June 21, 2016, 05:47:33 PM »
The 12pdr is for scale to show these two 4.62" CS rifled shells that made there way to Sweet Home Chicago recently:

>> CS 4.62-inc Tennessee Type II Long Shell (Bell page 408)
>> CS 4.62-inch Brooke Short Shell (Bell page 161)

They seem to be happy here and plan to stay a while.

Mike , Is the 4.62 Tenn. the type that would use the Tenn sabot I dug and posted a number of months ago ? I thought the shell for my sabot would have been quite a bit shorter . Ronnie

Yes, the type II sabot with the pegs sticking out of it that go into holes in the bottom of the shell.

Not sure the pegs on yours will align with the holes in the bottom of my shell, but why don't you send it up here and let me check ;-)
