Parrott Gun Trunion Sights

These blade sights go on the trunion of Parrott rifles. These are the sizes for 20, 30, 100 and 300pdr guns. I still need the 10, 60 and 200 -- the 60 and 200 will be very tough to find.

Very nice grouping. I like.
My only blade sight is marked "18 PDR S&G". Any one know who "S&G" is? I believe it is "Sargent and Greenleaf" who started making locks in the early 1800's. Perhaps their skills at making locks with hardened parts created a side business during the civil war making sights and other implements.

Ausmagic's belief is correct, S&G on a blade sight means Siege & Garrison (class of) artillery... which, for anybody here who doesn't already know, is the size classification in between Field Artillery and Heavy Artillery.
Welcome to the forum, Ausmagic.
